Palms On Parker

Living at Palms on Parker for three and a half months was an amazing chapter of my Australia trip. Jayde, the manager, deserves a special shout-out. She's an absolute legend, always helpful, approachable and genuinely keen to make sure everyone has a good experience. The owners are wonderful people too, and it's clear they care about the hostel and its guests. The swimming pool is class. If you're after more than a bed, somewhere comfortable, social and genuinely welcoming, this hostel is a great choice. I'm incredibly grateful for my time there and the memories I made.

Jayde, the hostel manager, was more like a mum to everyone. The owners were amazing, friendly and supportive too. I lived at Palms on Parker for 3-4 months, and it really felt like home. I had the best time meeting people there, and they’ve become friends for life. I’ll miss the place and all the memories. Best hostel on the east coast, in a perfect location.

The spacious rooms, aircon, laundry machines and BBQ nights made Palms on Parker feel like home. It’s clean, quiet and perfectly located, and the best hostel on the Sunshine Coast. The owners are lovely and always seem to be looking for ways to improve guests’ stays. Jayde, the on-site manager, is so kind, helpful and hospitable, and Joe is a ray of sunshine too.

The staff are really lovely, and there were a few long-term backpackers staying there too. My 10-bed room was female-only, but felt big enough that it didn’t seem like a room for ten. The hostel was clean, with a pool, a big kitchen and three spots to relax, two outside and one indoors. There were weekly activities like BBQ and movie nights, which made it a great place for solo travellers. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach and shops, and around a 30-minute drive to Australia zoo. There are buses nearby as well. I’d absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone in the area. Of the three hostels listed on Hostelworld for the Sunshine Coast, this was by far the best.
