We were disappointed after paying $500 a night for a 5 star complex. Our group was four adults and two children, but the three-bedroom apartment had three queen beds, which didn’t work for the kids. We’d brought plenty of board games, but the table only had four seats and the couch couldn’t seat all six of us either.

The manager was lovely, but the residents made our time unpleasant. They yelled and swore at us and our children from a balcony over parking our jet skis at the pontoon, and swore again when we said we had two hours. Residents sat on their balcony timing us. You can only leave a jet ski at the pontoon for two hours, then have to move it to the rocks. They also took photos of our children. If you have jet skis or kids, I can’t stress enough that you shouldn’t stay there.

The pool and spas were awesome, and we had amazing views from a great location. Everything was extremely comfortable, with high-quality furniture and fittings. We’ll be back!

We come every year for a golf trip with mates. The water views are next level, and the staff always greet you with a smile. Everything you need is within walking distance, so you can give the car a rest and enjoy Maroochydore.

We had a good stay at the Duporth Riverside and will no doubt return. The apartment was clean and well equipped, with a good-sized balcony and great views. The pool area was a nice place to lounge, with plenty of sun beds. Shops and bars are nearby, and a major shopping centre is within walking distance.
