Camargue Beachfront Apartments

Katherine, the Manager, was so friendly and full of useful information. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We had such a good time in apartment 23 that we’re already thinking about another sunny coast escape. The rooftop room had a balcony on the roof, a huge lounge with a smart TV, another smart TV in the main bedroom and a standard TV in the second lounge area. It was clean and spacious, with a full-size kitchen and fridge that suited an extended stay. The secure underground parking was easy to access, and the heated pool was a great bonus. The kids loved swimming there at night. Beach access is right across the road and the surf club is just down the way. It’s central to most things but still quiet enough to feel away from the city bustle.

Katherine and Riley helped make our holiday a success, and we’d gladly have stayed longer if we could have changed our flights. The apartment was huge and comfortable. We’ll be back next year.

The biggest problem was the rubbish rule. You have to take your own rubbish out or pay $25. With the room nearly $400 a night, that felt ridiculous and very Airbnb-like. I booked through booking.com and expected it to be handled as a hotel stay. The place had a great location across from the beach, with cafes and food nearby. Our apartment was very large, had two bathrooms and a private pool, which was nice. But the beds and flat pillows were uncomfortable, the rooms were dusty, and the aircon cooled unevenly: the lounge was warm, one bedroom cold and the other warm. The cutlery and plates were dirty and clearly hadn’t been checked before we arrived. The pool had lots of leaves and should have been cleaned beforehand.

We’d definitely stay here again. Our ground-floor apartment was very spacious, there was plenty of parking around, and the surf club was just a stone’s throw away. The pool was lovely too. Katherine, I think, from the front desk was amazing and made us feel very welcome.
