Maryborough Motel and Conference Centre

The room itself was clearly the old reception area, with three beds squeezed together under the label “family room.” There was nowhere to hang clothes, and the bathroom had no place for toiletries or towels to dry. The bathroom finish looked amateur, and the thin window coverings looked mismatched and cheap. The TV was barely attached to a wall hook, and you had to stand on a chair to reach the microwave. We also had no glasses, spoons, tea towel, blanket, hand towels or breakfast bowls. When I arrived, I thought the motel was closed because there was no reception area, and the booking was a complete mix-up. The photos don't match the experience. I wouldn't recommend booking here.

The bed was super comfortable, the linen was clean and fresh, and the air conditioning was already on, so the room was cool when I checked in. Craig and Kylie run a wonderful place, with that good old-fashioned Aussie country service. I especially liked the little covered outdoor spot by the pool. Thanks for such an easy stay. I'd recommend it.

We liked room 5 so much last night that we booked again. Now we're in room 6 and happy with it too. The receptionist was so welcoming, and the whole place has a lovely vibe. A peaceful stay, well worth stopping for a night or two.

Kylie and Craig are great hosts, they really make you feel welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a homely, cosy feel, and it's a quiet place to stop just off the Bruce Hwy. Very convenient. We stay in Maryborough for work often and have tried plenty of places, so this one has become our top choice among our work group. Our three nights exceeded expectations, and we'll definitely be back.
