It’s reasonably priced for what you get. My room was a good size, clean and well maintained, with a newly renovated bathroom and a very comfortable king sized bed. The place is quiet, since it’s not too close to the shops and pubs. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the family room and really liked it. The breakfast Cafe is only a few steps away, and it’s an easy walk into town. There’s a food mart nearby too, with everything you might need and really helpful service. Definitely recommend ❤️

My first visit to Maryborough was a lovely one, and I’ll be back. McNevins Motel is across the road from the White Lion pub, with Woolworths and plenty of nice cafes about a 10-minute walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, with the air-con right above it and a big TV opposite.

I was happy with the room overall. It was immaculate, the cupboards had lovely quality wood panelling, and the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. My one gripe was having to ask for plates, knives and forks. There were just two bread and butter plates and two coffee cups, despite there being a microwave. I stayed for two nights between Christmas and New Year and had takeaway dinners, but didn’t ask because getting to reception meant going on my wonky knee, and honestly, I didn’t want to have to ask. I’m curious why cutlery and plates aren’t provided. That was the only disappointment.

The showerhead needs attention. It flopped straight down and couldn’t be tightened, so we had a terrible shower each night. Maybe it just needs a new washer. Sleeping was hard too: there were no blockout blinds, including on the window in the back door. After a 12-hour drive we wanted a decent rest, but the carpark lights made the room bright at 10:40 pm on Christmas night, and the sun came up around 4:30 am. Even my eye mask didn’t keep the morning light out. Please consider blockout curtains, since travellers need to be able to sleep.
