A 3BR Apt Next to Melbourne Central, Free Parking

The city skyline view was gorgeous, and we spent time looking out the window deciding where to explore. Our room was very comfortable, and the rainforest shower was a lovely treat after walking all day. The restaurant and cafe area was great, and we enjoyed swimming in the rooftop pool, though its ladder felt a bit precarious. Being able to refill bottles with still or sparkling water for the room was a fantastic touch. The staff were so friendly and helpful, thank you to all of them. We’ll book again next time we’re in Melbourne. We were sad to leave!

The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and public transport only a short walk away. I stayed twice during my Melbourne trip, and the second room was upgraded, much larger and probably more comfortable for two, though otherwise the experience was the same as in the cheaper room. The staff, who were all quite young, varied in how enthusiastic they seemed about their jobs. Everyone I spoke with was from another country and had limited tourist information, so management should help staff better support travelers. Staff did what they could to address issues in both rooms, including hair in the fridge and toilet on arrival, water coming through the overhead bathroom light, and a broken coffee maker. The carpet also looked dirty throughout, and I tried not to walk barefoot. They really need to remove it and start over. I’d rate the hotel closer to three stars, with the potential to be four.

We loved the hotel’s quirky design, which made Melbourne feel different in the best way, and the spotless room had everything we needed, even if some might find it a little small. It was ideal for two nights with my friend. The location made it easy to get around, just minutes from Melbourne central station and the shopping centre, with Bourke street mall a short walk away. Staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and they let us check in early. The lifts had a problem one day that stopped us getting to our room, but the staff quickly sorted it out. A request for robes and toiletries somehow led to someone coming to fix our TV, though that got resolved quickly and professionally too. Room service arrived fast and was delicious. We skipped breakfast, which I regret now because it looked amazing. I’d recommend the hotel for its location, service and lovely rooms.

The breakfast spread was perfection, and our spotless room made the stay even better. My partner and I had an incredible time at Voco Melbourne, thanks to staff who were welcoming, kind and helpful, and went out of their way to make everything perfect. Great location too. We’ll definitely come back and would highly recommend it!
