I got such a good deal at $70 a night, and after waking from a three-day sleep in one of the comfiest beds ever, I realised I was the only guest. Basically had the whole place to myself. The janitors were in the self-contained front room, though I didn’t see them for the first three days. It’s a super casual, open-plan family home, fully furnished with a modern front-loading laundry, a fully equipped kitchen and a big flatscreen TV. Everything’s new and clean, which makes it easy to keep clean. Thanks, Apple house and co. I had a lovely stay and didn’t want to leave. As for hiding in the house, under a bed or in the roof crawl space, just kidding. Mostly. Boo!

There’s plenty of on-street parking, and getting in is straightforward with a front-door pin code and your own room key. The house has eight bedrooms, each with either a double or queen bed, and towels are left on the bed. Bathrooms, toilet, lounge and kitchen are shared, with lots of kitchenware for cooking. The place was clean and tidy. A shopping centre with Kmart, Aldi and other stores is a short drive away.

We had the whole neat, spacious house to ourselves, with no other guests around. The place was lovely and clean, the price was great, and the owners got back to us promptly. Finding it and getting in were easy too.
