There was a building site behind the apartment, and we heard some noise for two nights while we were there. Apart from that, it was a great place to stay right downtown in MEL. The apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable, with good fittings and a comfy bed. I’ll book again.

It was easy to get to and from the apartment with transport lines nearby. The location is excellent, with great food and fashion all around. The bathroom was a little small, but that’s a minor thing. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Melbourne.

The apartment was a bit tired, but it had what we needed, and having a washer and dryer was a real plus. We did have very loud, very drunk people on our floor. Since it’s an apartment building with no front desk to manage other guests, bring earplugs. Still, Melbourne is such a great city that you probably won’t spend much time in your room, and I’d recommend the place for its location. You can walk to all the central Melbourne spots from here.

We had a late checkout, which made the end of our stay much easier with our luggage. The concierge greeting service was terrific, and StayCentral was only a phone call away whenever we had questions. The apartment is comfortable, with super comfy bedding and a fully stocked kitchen, though we mostly ate out. It has everything you need for a short city stay, and the location is right in the middle of everything. This really felt like a home away from home in central Melbourne. We’ll definitely be back.

We liked the cute, cosy apartment and its great location and kitchen amenities, but several parts of the stay were really disappointing. The apartment looked clean and tidy at first glance, but the windows were filthy, and the floors hadn’t been properly vacuumed or mopped. There was a lot of construction outside, which explained the exterior dirt, but not the inside of the windows. We also found a disgustingly large number of dead cockroaches and saw live ones scattering around. It seemed clear there was an infestation, and the apartment needed professional extermination rather than Mortein bait scattered around. We were there for a week with three people and were given just four coffee pods, three toilet rolls and three dishwashing tablets as complimentary amenities. We understand the description said we’d have to buy more, but that was a minuscule amount for the week. I have dust allergies, and I also got a spider bite on my leg. A cockroach-infested apartment should be dealt with before it’s made available to the public. Before arrival, we booked through Wotif, but it wasn’t made clear that a $600 deposit was required beforehand. We’ve never had to pay that much even at a 5-star hotel. Staff were extremely rude and threatening, saying we couldn’t stay unless it was paid, even though this was the first we’d heard about it. On check-in, the number we were supposed to call wasn’t available, so we contacted head office and were put in touch with our greeter. We had to wait around half an hour. We understand the traffic was terrible that day, but it felt unprofessional to train a greeter while checking us in, and the process became long-winded after our travel. After we raised these issues in response to a courtesy email, we got a lengthy, passive-aggressive message full of excuses instead of an apology or an offer to send someone to clean. In the back-and-forth emails, the manager offered a complimentary “10% returning member discount” and became extremely rude and sarcastic. We were generally happy with the apartment itself, but the stay was extremely disappointing.
