Chadstone Executive Motel

This is the most disgusting place I’ve ever set foot in. I don’t know what standard a motel is meant to meet, but this place couldn’t meet it. I’d arranged a late check-in because I was travelling. As soon as I walked into the room I started dry heaving. Talcum powder on the floor made it look like they’d tried to cover up the smell. I left and slept in my car at the local shopping centre.

I booked at the last minute, and the reception staff were accommodating with my requests. The room was clean and spacious, as expected for the price, and the facilities and features all worked properly. I’d definitely come back.

The place could use a new name, 'Charlots Web' would fit. Where to start? Keep the windows closed, they’re covered in dirt and spider webs. The website mentions meals and shows a dining room, but there was no menu or meal-time information in the room, and nothing on inspection of the dining room suggested meals were available or being served. The towels are so hard they exfoliate you in the shower. No one was around overnight, and the building doors were open or broken and wouldn’t close, leaving occupants unsafe because customers could come and go freely at night. My room wasn’t cleaned during the stay, the fridge didn’t work, and it smelled foul when opened. This is far from an executive hotel and feels unsafe in many ways.

I left after just 10 minutes because the room was unbearable, even though it was non-refundable. It was filthy, smelly, and poorly maintained, with cobwebs on the chairs. Worst place I’ve ever visited.
