The motel isn't the most modern, but the staff made us feel looked after. Reception was quick, efficient and very friendly, and check-in took less than five minutes. When we noticed the door wouldn't lock as we were heading out for dinner, they immediately offered us another room. Ours was spotless, with fresh linen and a soft, comfortable bed. Loved it!

We came back to celebrate our wedding anniversary, four years after getting married here. The staff were just as fantastic as they were then, and Lynda and staff made sure nothing was too much trouble. We'd booked a Queen room, then got a last-minute upgrade to the movie package: one night's stay, a two-course dinner, breakfast and a $40 Hoyts movie card. Great value. The spa in our room wasn't working at first, but they fixed it very quickly. Thank you, Lynda and staff. Ana and Andrew.

Check-in and check-out were easy, friendly and painless. The restaurant's small buffet breakfast had a limited range, but it was enough for me and the hot food was cooked well. The rooms are dated, though clean, and shops are an easy walk away. Outside, the place could use some attention: the signage is faded and birds nest around the external stairways.

The room and upgraded amenities were top quality, and the staff were lovely, approachable and accommodating. I've stayed in some good hotels around Australia over the past year, and this one ranks among the best. We want to come back as soon as we can.
