Grand Hyatt Melbourne

The buffet breakfast was the highlight, with amazing food in all sorts of varieties, desserts included. It’s hard to stop eating! We’ll enjoy it again and again. The restaurant chef also deserves a mention for making a complimentary birthday cake after our last-minute request, despite my unreasonable timeframe. Online check-in and checkout, plus opening the door with my phone, made things seamless. We had a spotless room on the 26th floor with clean linen, all the necessary amenities and a breathtaking city view. We almost didn’t want to go out that night. From reception to valet, everyone was polite and professional and tried to help with our needs and extra requests. The lobby’s lighting and aroma gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. We know a Hyatt stay won’t disappoint, and this one didn’t. Hyatt hotels are always our first choice.

Breakfast was consistently good, with plenty of choice and quality food, and room service was quick and excellent. The Club Sandwich was fresh, generous and genuinely one of the better hotel versions I’ve had. The lobby restaurant is a great place for coffee or a meal, on your own, with a friend, or for a casual business chat. My room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated having both a strong shower and a proper bath. The location on Collins Street puts you close to Melbourne’s business and shopping districts, with transport, shops, cafés and restaurants an easy walk away. Staff were friendly and professional wherever I ran into them, from reception to the lobby and elsewhere. Service was polished but never stiff. The grand, spacious foyer was beautifully maintained and welcoming, and public areas were spotless. I had an excellent stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne and would happily come back or recommend it.

We could walk everywhere from the hotel and didn’t use public transport at all during our stay. The room was good and had a nice city view. Service and food were OK. The lounge club had a beautiful city view, though its food presentation didn’t impress me.

The pool area was peaceful and lovely, and breakfast was delicious every morning. Restaurant service was excellent as well. My room was beautiful, with great amenities and a comfortable bed, and the facilities were clean and modern. Staff were kind and helpful throughout, and check-in and checkout were quick and smooth. I felt pampered and cared for for my whole stay. A five-star experience through and through!
