I had a really good experience at this hostel. You can have a chilled night or go out and party, and Dan at reception showed me to my room, pointed out where everything was and gave me tips on places to go in Melbourne. The staff are lovely and welcoming, the beds were clean, and the kitchen area was good too.

The friendly staff, free pancakes and cinema room were the best parts for me. I enjoyed what the hostel has to offer and hope it keeps improving. The building is quite dated, which I know can't really be helped. Our 10-bed dorm was cold and uncomfortable, though. More heaters, or portable ones available on request, could help.

Free breakfast every morning and a roomy kitchen where I could cook each night made the 3 weeks here easy. The place was very clean and tidy, and the staff were super helpful, especially manager Luke. It's conveniently right in the CBD, next to Southern Cross. I'd definitely stay again on my next Melbourne trip. 10/10.

I came for a cheap stay and ended up spending a few months here because I made great friends and had fun at the bar next door. The staff are attentive and always try to keep guests comfortable. There was free pasta, rice, coffee and tea, and both the rooms and shared areas were spacious. Definitely recommend this awesome hostel!

The location is good, though the railway is right next door, so bring earplugs. The television room was nice, and the bathroom and shower were reasonably clean. Breakfast pancakes were free. I found the kitchen and dining area less clean than I'd like, and one fridge was leaking.
