Novotel Melbourne Central

I stayed for over a week, and the staff made me feel welcome each day. They seemed to remember me, and everyone was friendly. The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, with a very good selection and excellent quality. Getting into my room early was much appreciated after a long flight, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was excellent, with a really comfy bed, a fridge, a separate shower, and great upkeep. I loved everything about the hotel and would definitely stay again.

The central location made it easy to commute around the city, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. I was disappointed by the drinking water setup. There wasn't a bottle in the room, and while I understand the sustainability approach, there should at least be a refillable glass bottle. When I raised it with the hotel manager, I was told the policy is to provide glass bottles only to Accor Silver members and above. Sustainability shouldn't depend on a guest's membership level.

The staff were friendly and professional, and always seemed ready to help. Everything felt easy from check-in through checkout, and the clean, modern hotel was well maintained. I had a really great stay at Novotel last week. The room was comfortable and well set up, and I'd happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area. I'd stay again.

The rooms were quiet and had water, and the breakfast buffet was fine. The downstairs bar was okay, but had no atmosphere. The hotel has been nicely refurbished, though the rooms are small. My main problem was the missing bathroom door. The toilet and shower each had doors, but there was no door to the bathroom itself, and the full-length mirror meant you could see straight in from the bed. There was no privacy, so I wouldn't stay again.
