Clifton Hill is a friendly, interesting neighbourhood, close to Melbourne’s attractions, and I love staying there when I visit. Parksidestay is a comfortable, beautifully furnished apartment, and Wendy is a welcoming host who knows the local area well. She has worked hard to make the accommodation first class. If you’re coming to Melbourne, I recommend staying here instead of a city hotel. There are plenty of parklands if you have a dog. ParkSide Stay is a charming, self-contained place to stay in Melbourne, especially if you’re travelling with pets. We could walk our two dogs in the spacious parklands nearby and stretch our own legs too. A colleague recommended it, and we found a comfortable oasis so close to the city. The modern apartment is beautifully furnished, with large windows looking onto a sunny courtyard garden. Wendy was a delightful host and full of local knowledge. My husband, our dog Max and I spent five nights at Parkside Stay and loved the location and atmosphere. Wendy was warm and welcoming, and the modern apartment was beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. We had quaint eateries and local galleries nearby, and the CBD was convenient to reach. Max and I especially loved having gorgeous parklands right on our doorstep. When I come to Melbourne from country victoria for business or other reasons, ParkSide Stay feels like home away from home. Wendy is welcoming, pleasant and courteous, and the well-appointed apartment sits beside parklands that are great for running. I’ve read comments about privacy being invaded and notes being left, and I find them strange. My own experience over the past 12 months has been positive, and I have nothing but praise for the apartment and its management. Wendy clearly explains guest expectations in her policies before booking, including opening the windows and taking shoes off indoors. If those conditions are a problem, why stay and then criticize?
