The caretaker is friendly and will bend over backwards to help. The room may seem a bit faded, but it's got everything you need in a self-contained apartment. I'd recommend it if you need to stay near Epworth Hospital.

It's quiet here, clean and comfortable, with a well-maintained property. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and it's a cheap, cheerful option for a medium or long stay. Utilities and one gig of data a day are included. You can cook your own meals, and it's ideal for an out-of-town contract worker, though not as fancy as most serviced apartments. I recommend it to family visiting from interstate. Don't even think about having a party here. The bloke running the place is a real old fuddy-duddy. If you smoke, even only outside, don't tell him or he won't rent to you. If the owner weren't such a nosey parker, I'd probably give the place 5*.

We ended up staying for three weeks because of my mother-in-law's condition. My wife and I booked while her mother was in Epworth Hospital, and were pleasantly surprised that the hospital was within walking distance. The lodge is on a quiet side street, the rooms are fully equipped and excellent, and the owner was friendly. It was a very pleasant stay.
