We went for the music before a gig upstairs, and the staff were great. The burger was small but fine and fairly priced, and my wife liked her Caesar salad, which was smaller but fairly priced too. The steak was tiny, with just a small bowl of chips and nothing else, especially disappointing for what steaks cost now. The last dish was a little bowl of mush they called pasta, but it was more like soup with a couple of pasta pieces. Go for the music, but eat somewhere else.

Patty at the front desk was an angel. My travel plans kept changing, and she went out of her way to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel is beautiful, and the location was perfect. I had a great stay at the Prince and will come back next time I’m in Melbourne.

We celebrated my birthday in The Prince Dining Room, then stayed overnight in a Deluxe room. Kristina helped make organising it easy, and the staff at The Prince Hotel were accommodating and friendly from the planning through to the day after. Everyone enjoyed the hospitality, and it was a lovely way to celebrate. Big thanks to the whole The Prince Team 🍾👍🏼

We booked by phone just a few minutes ahead and got the last room. The attendant was polite, quick and all-around great, and we were pleasantly surprised by a discount for the late-night booking. The room was small, as expected, but very clean, with a well-stocked minibar and a safe. It’s also only a 700m walk from Acland street. Highly recommend.

The staff were very welcoming when I stopped in for breakfast. My meal was delicious, and Camilla made the poached eggs exactly how I’d ordered them. A pleasant visit all round.
