Sleep was shocking for the few nights I was there. The air con never worked, even after I asked several times and was moved to another room. It was just as hot there, and the concrete roof didn’t help. They couldn’t provide a fan or come up with any other fix.

The cafe downstairs is lovely for breakfast or lunch, and having a kitchen meant we didn’t need to eat out all the time. The room was clean and comfortable to spend time in. At night, though, traffic noise was an issue, and the A/C control panel was right across from the bed, shining like a spotlight at 2am with no dimming. Bring earplugs and a sleep mask and you should have a great stay.

The apartments are small but great, really clean and well equipped for cooking, so you don’t have to depend on other services. My one gripe is the TV. Its smart features were disabled, so I couldn’t stream to it.

Recently renovated and fitted out with excellent taste. Epworth Hospital is only 15 meters from the front door, which made this very convenient and well worth the money. Especially good for patients on crutches.

For games at the G, I’d pick this over squeezing into a tiny hotel room. The apartments are clean and neat, customer service is great, and there are lots of food choices nearby. You can walk to the MCG too. Lanbruk Richmond is a gem, wish I’d found out about it sooner.
