The shared spaces were cramped, especially the kitchen, shower room, and TV room. The TV room was what I meant by too small, when they replied saying the facilities were just basic hostel features. They also said housekeeping started at 11:30, but on some days it definitely began at 8:30, and the vacuum woke me up. The hostel was very old and nearly everything felt dirty. There were only two shared toilets for everyone, and the women's showers were in the middle of the corridor with no room to get dressed. The staff were unfriendly. On my first day, I asked the receptionist to help with my suitcase because I was injured and there was no elevator, but he ignored me. Housekeepers repeatedly touched guests' belongings and beds, and everyone in my room complained about it. At checkout, the receptionist didn't even say thank you. I'm writing this after their reply. They were rude during and after my stay and didn't understand what I was saying. They denied everything I'd written and seemed to just want to dismiss me. I'm staying at another hostel now and feel much more comfortable there. Please remember to thank guests when they check out.

The rooms are good, but the facilities really aren't. Just two toilets for the whole hostel, and they're shared. The women's showers are halfway down the corridor, with no space to get dressed. Not worth it!

Ye made our trip and made us feel like friends. We came from Cairns for the Supercross at Marvel Stadium and booked into the Best Western, but it was at the Queen Vic that we found such great hospitality. Ye was friendly, accommodating, and helpful with local transport, good places to hang out, and budget-friendly ways to enjoy Melbourne. Thanks, Ye!

Check-in took 30 minutes, and the room smelled like a tip and felt like a cemetery. The customer service was the worst I've seen, with no structure and management that seemed to have no idea what was going on. Terrible experience. Better off sleeping on the street :)

It's been more than two weeks since I checked out early, and I still have no response about my deposit. No feedback or email, and it hasn't been returned. The first room faced road noise so loud I couldn't sleep for two nights. I asked to move, but the next room was just as bad, with loud music and bass from the bar downstairs keeping me awake again. The hostel was dirty and extremely noisy, and service was unbelievably slow. I've never seen a place handle things this badly.
