Whitehorse Apartment Hotel

A well-presented apartment, conveniently located near tram and train services. Good shopping and restaurants nearby.

I never even saw a room. My arrival was booked for a public holiday night, but the contact wouldn’t accommodate me, despite the corporate booking having been confirmed the previous week. I spent three hours waiting on the street outside. During that time, I saw rats running along the walls and clients from the motel next door engaging in various illegal activities. It didn’t seem like a savory area to stay. I hope the locks are solid.

I booked the hotel room from 1/4/2024-3/4/2024, and the people next door started making noise at 3am. I couldn’t get back to sleep. At 5am I rang Nick Sha, who worked at reception, to ask if he could speak to them because they’d been noisy since 3am. He was rude and said nobody was working at the hotel overnight and no one would come to deal with it. He also complained that I shouldn’t ring the hotel at 5am. He told me to knock on their door myself, which I did, but it didn’t work. Otherwise, I could wait until 9am, even though the office hours on weekdays are 7:30am-9:00pm. His other suggestion was that I move out early because they had booked for 7 days and I’d only booked 2. What a shame. So ridiculous!

I arrived at 10:30pm and was shocked by the state of my room. In all my work travel around the world, this was by far the worst room I’ve stayed in. There was hair in the bed, on the shower walls and pubic hair on the towels. The walls had snot, food splatter, handprints, smudges and dirt on them. The lamps beside the bed had food on them too, the toilet flush buttons were covered in fingerprints, and there was toothpaste spit on the mirror. It just kept going. Management never replied to my email.
