They cancelled our booking just four days before the dates, saying they’d double-booked us. We’d booked by phone almost a month earlier, and this was right before a public holiday weekend. They didn’t offer any workable alternative. In response to the owner: Since we booked over the phone, I hope you’ll rethink the booking system. If it can’t show that you were full, including for the following two weeks or more, that’s a serious problem. The alternative accommodation you suggested also defeats the reason we brought our dog on holiday. We weren’t going to bring the dog only to leave it in a kennel for our stay.

The cottage is lovely, and the views are hard to beat. Des and Mary are fantastic hosts. I especially love the sunrise over Mt. Buller, then taking the dog for a walk in the paddocks. It’s a great place to get away from the daily grind and unwind.

We stayed for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the peaceful, romantic feel made it wonderful. The sunrise might wake you up, but it’s worth it for those views 😉 I can’t wait to return and enjoy the beautiful surroundings again.
