The location is close to perfect, with six different cuisines less than a five-minute walk away. The room also did a fantastic job of keeping out light and sound. Even in a serious storm, we slept peacefully without being disturbed by the weather. I was hesitant after seeing some pretty average reviews, but I'm really happy with the stay and will be back. We booked the spa suite, and the spa was huge. When it stopped working, Simone at the front desk kept at it until she could offer us another room or a repair timeline. We changed rooms, and the second one was just as nice as the first. The suite had plenty of room to spread out, the bed was huge and comfy, and the aircon worked well. The Nespresso machine and pods were a nice touch. The lift has a stylish, genuinely aged feel, like taking a step back in time. I loved the ride. It is heritage listed. We stayed through a pretty solid storm, and the hot water unfortunately petered out that night. A staff member got out of bed and came to sort it out in the middle of the storm, and it was working by morning. Parking was a little haphazard, and the carpark flooded a bit, though it was a very big storm. After we'd left, they called to tell us we'd forgotten an expensive pair of headphones. We could easily turn around to get them, and I really appreciate their honesty.

The first woman we dealt with was good, but the woman we encountered on the way out was rude and abrupt. The room was clean, though the air conditioning was poor and the pillows need replacing. The motel's location is excellent, but next time we visit Mildura, I'd rather stay somewhere else.

The hotel keeps its character and style, and the service and convenience are excellent. It's in a central spot with plenty of amenities within walking distance. If you prefer ultra-modern furnishings, it may not suit you. The maintained, working two-person Otis lift is charming and runs beautifully. Its doorway is narrower than most modern lifts, and it can be a bit louder and less smooth. If you have needs the hotel should consider, it may be worth discussing them before booking. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The rooms are large and the location is good, but the hotel feels very dated and needs significant refurbishment. The room price does reflect that. Accor Plus members don't get dining discounts here, and there was no complimentary breakfast for elite Accor members.

Check-in was friendly, and you can park wherever you choose. The room had an upstairs bedroom and was clean, though the furniture is tired. The furniture outside the front door was dirty, as was the whole footpath along the rooms. It's well placed for walking to shops, restaurants and more. I didn't know there was an onsite bar, restaurant and breakfast option until I was leaving.
