Mildura Golf Resort

We were disappointed by the rooms at first. In room 15, the blinds needed repair and wouldn’t shut. After moving us to room 20, management kindly upgraded us again to a cleaner, better equipped room. Before that, though, the carpet in room 20 was damp and it smelled musty. The rooms really need a makeover, so I can’t recommend staying here.

I liked visiting Mildura, but after this experience I won’t be back here. The accommodation was very outdated and average, and half the house didn’t work. It felt overpriced for what we got, and the staff needed more training and effort. We went to play golf, but the older man behind the bar couldn’t explain basic rules. He then messed us around over taking the cart and equipment and wouldn’t let us speak to a manager. He needed more brains, most likely.

The room was clean, but dated, and felt like stepping back into the 1970s. The smart TV had Netflix and other channels, though nothing would connect to the internet. The key instructions said to leave it in a box if the office was closed, but there weren’t any boxes. I tried sliding the key under the door, but it didn’t fit.

We paid $247.50AUD a night for family room #27. The golf course looked well kept, and the location was good, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here at any price. There was no wifi or hot water, cobwebs in the room, and the bathroom was dirty with a leaking tap. The hallway light inside wasn’t working properly. The pillows were completely flat, so we had to buy new ones from the nearby KMart. The air conditioning worked, but it was old, broken and noisy. We also tried calling the after-hours number and got no service or return call.
