Tasman Holiday Parks - Moama on the Murray

Getting around was easy, with The Port Of Echuca, restaurants and local shops just a 10 minute drive away. The park itself is peaceful, with beautiful views over the Murray and plenty to enjoy for different ages and abilities. We had a fantastic family holiday and made the most of the facilities. Our cabin was modern, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely, and their text updates kept us in the loop about news and events during our stay. It's a place that works for couples and families, whether the kids are young or grown. We're so happy with the stay!

After seven years of coming here, we won't be back. The last two years have been disappointing. When we first started visiting, there was a farm, daily activities for the kids and clean apartments. We kept supporting the resort during Covid and after the floods, but since tasman took over, things have gone downhill: the rooms are dirty, cutlery is limited, activities are gone and prices have gone up. I feel for the people who work there. We travel with seven families, and when we asked to be accommodated together, they wouldn't do it. They didn't even email to ask if we wanted to return. Once tasman has you, they seem to forget about you. New guests may be treated well, but the seven families we travel with are done. We have great memories, and I hope tasman gets its act together. tindarra, here we come.

We loved the park's location near town and all the sites, with plenty of dinner options nearby. The park facilities were a big hit over Melbourne Cup weekend, especially the solar heated lagoon pool, sports courts, arcade, coffee cart, Saturday food vans and buggy adventure hunt. Staff were lovely, approachable and helpful. One extra nice moment was the guest arranged trick or treating on Halloween. The kids were polite, and we all had fun seeing the costumes and handing out lollies. We stayed in privately owned elevated cabin #66 with two adults and two children. For the price, it needed some work compared with other cabins we've stayed in. The split systems in the bedrooms weren't connected, as we found out on day two, and the living room aircon didn't reach the bedrooms. Staff brought us a portable unit to cram into the double bunked room, which helped on the warm nights. The light switches stuck, the toilet kept running unless we lifted the cistern lid and unstuck the buttons, ants were everywhere, and the cabin shook whenever anyone walked around. I could tolerate those things, but the cabin didn't feel worth its price. With another cabin, I'd happily come back.

The pool and tennis court got plenty of use, and we loved the short walk to a secluded spot by the river. Our one bedroom Premium Villa was spotless and spacious, just right for the two of us, with a comfortable bed and a fantastic shower after a day out. It was hot when we arrived, so stepping into the air conditioned space felt great. We had a relaxing seven night stay from start to finish and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend it.
