Tunnel Ridge Outlook

We’re already talking about coming back one day for our honeymoon. The host made us feel safe and at ease from the moment we arrived, which mattered a lot to me as a female traveler. He welcomed us, explained the property and area from a local’s point of view, covered safety and useful tips, and answered questions we hadn’t even thought to ask. After hearing our plans, he helped adjust the timing and shared his personal views. The place was exceptionally clean, with plenty of blankets, pillows, and rugs. There were books on a shelf, including some about local wildlife. He also left homemade scones, croissants, and a fridge stocked with local jelly, sliced butter, and local honey. I can’t think of anything else I’d change. A cosmetic light by the bathroom mirror would help with makeup after dark, since the overhead light made it tricky, though the natural light is great during the day. More than two towels at the start would also be useful for guests with long hair, who may want a separate hair towel. He did say to ask if we needed more.

We’d love to return soon. The view was beautiful, the location peaceful, and the owners were kind and very helpful. The accommodation was comfortable, spotless, and had what we needed, with homemade scones as a tasty extra. After a day out, the immaculate pool was a treat, especially in the heat wave, and even had Epsom salts. There’s air conditioning for summer and a fireplace for winter, so it works well in any season. Ten out of ten, highly recommend!

Jason was welcoming, friendly, and accommodating the whole time, and his scones were delicious! The location was peaceful, with gorgeous views, and shops were close by, which was convenient. I couldn’t have found a better place to stay and would definitely consider coming back.

We’d stay here again and hope to return. It was a great value for a visit to the Australia Zoo, with a gorgeous view and private pool. The place was very clean, and the host was friendly and helpful.
