Maiala Park Lodge

Lucy welcomed us with delicious cookies and was so kind. My husband and I had a lovely birthday visit at Maiala, and we were both comfortable in our lovely room. It's an easy drive from Brisbane, which makes it a nice option for a weekend away from the city. We definitely plan to come back.

It was such a treat to stay here, and amazing value for a 3 night mid-week visit. We could walk to Maiala Park for bushwalking, and the location also worked well for a conference at Petrie and dinner at Victoria Park Function Centre in Brisbane centre. My colleagues were jealous of where I was staying compared with their hotel rooms. The huge lodge is tastefully furnished, and we loved our suite with covered parking underneath. The views, landscaped swimming pool, commercial kitchen and ambience were all lovely. Lucy and Ava were welcoming and helpful, the staff and other guests were great, and the extras included cookies and high quality toiletries. The family dog and cat were very friendly too. The cat loves a massage. I had high expectations from the photos, and the stay exceeded them.

The shared spaces and porches were great for spending time together and enjoying the stunning views, while each room had its own lovely style and plenty of privacy. We had our families stay at The Lodge during our wedding weekend at Elm House just down the road, and it worked out perfectly. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning meant everyone slept so well. My husband and I were honestly jealous that we only got one night there.

We had breakfast there too, and it was delicious. The owners were amazing, so lovely and helpful. The rooms were stunning and the beds really comfortable. I've only been back two days and already want to return. Highly recommend staying there.
