The house is nicely located, just a short drive from Daylesford, and the grounds were quiet and peaceful. We liked the heating and fireplace. But there was no hot water in any of the main house showers for our whole stay, which wasn't great in winter. The two upstairs bedrooms have no doors, so keep that in mind if you're in a large group or sensitive to noise. Adding doors would make a big difference. Some furniture and decor aren't kid friendly, like the sharp-edged glass coffee table. There was no access to the laundry either, which seemed odd.

It's now called Rachaya al Foukhar and isn't open to the public, even though the brown tourist sign makes it look as if it is.
