The rest of the room was tidy as expected, and parking and access were easy. But I wasn’t impressed: there was hair throughout the unclean bathroom, and neither the TV nor microwave worked. The walls seemed so thin I could hear people in the next room using the toilet and showering. Water rushing through the pipes was incredibly loud, even several rooms away. Unlikely I’ll stay again.

The team had our key ready for our late arrival at 10pm, and even turned on the heater for us. It was easy to find and get into that late. The decor is a bit dated, but I enjoyed the nostalgia. More importantly, it was beautifully clean, with a quality bed, great linen and towels neatly set out. We stopped here on the way to the snow and had a lovely stay. Thanks, team.

We stayed here for work after spending seven nights at the railway hotel and eight at the myrtleford hotel. Golden Leaf stood out among the three: the service was fantastic, everything was clean and tidy, and it was the cheapest and most comfortable. We’ll definitely stay here again. Thanks, team.

The rooms are average and could use an upgrade. My biggest concern is the toilet floor: the tiles get extremely slippery when wet, especially around the shower. It could be a trip hazard for older people, so take care when showering. The owner should replace the tiles with suitable ones.

We’ve stayed three times now. The rooms have been clean on each visit, the staff friendly and the service good. We also haven’t had noisy neighbours in the other rooms.
