The deal advertised for Wednesday Steak Night was 20% off, but it turned out to apply only to orders through the app. The app wasn't working, and they still refused to honor the discount. As a local, it's sad to see a place that used to thrive end up like this. I'd heard poor feedback and had avoided eating here; after this visit I won't return or recommend it. We'd booked ahead for dinner with a fairly large group on Wednesday. There were two other sizable groups and a few smaller tables, but just two staff handling the bar and orders and one waitress. Getting all our meals took 30 minutes, mostly schnitzels, fish and kids' meals. The kids' orders were wrong, then took another 20 minutes to fix. One plate of chips had been rubbed through some mystery orange sauce. The female server was abrupt enough to seem rude. The toilets also had no soap, and the dispenser looked like it had been empty for a while.

We stopped for lunch after visiting the Naracoorte Caves, though we didn't stay there. All the meals were fantastic. There's a small playground for little kids, and on our visit they had free face painting for all the children. It made their day.

We ate here with family on the evenings of January 1 and 2. The food was excellent, the service was good, and the atmosphere was friendly. The salad bar was a nice touch. The beer garden misters were the downside. It wasn't even very warm, but they soaked you. On the first night staff wouldn't switch them off until enough people complained. The next evening, nobody seemed to want to sit outside.

The Aussie chicken parma was good, but the beef schnitzel was impossible to cut and inedible. The cheesy garlic bread looked as if they'd missed the cheese at first, then dumped a pile on top of the bread all stuck together. We went for lunch on a quiet Tuesday and waited around five minutes before anyone came over. The staff seemed lazy, and I wouldn't recommend the place.

A great spot, and we had a fabulous scoth fillet steak. It was cooked perfectly, the best we've had in a long time. I'd definitely recommend this place.
