We spent seven nights there in October school holidays, with crisp mornings and warm days. Being out of phone and internet range made it easy to switch off and enjoy the natural setting. There was plenty to do around the homestead, and the river was a short drive or walk away for kayaking, swimming, fishing, or just sitting and taking it in. The photos don’t really show how lovely the place is, so I thought I’d share some of the inside, since there aren’t many around.

The house could really use air conditioning in summer, and there’s no mobile reception. Still, it was a fantastic place to get away. I caught a few fish, and there are some great swimming holes just below the house.
