On a six-week road trip with my dad, this was easily the best place we stayed. The room was a lovely surprise, and the staff were friendly. Such a great motel, I'd definitely recommend it.

It was a quiet spot, and really good value. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating when I had to check in after hours. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We didn't get any Wi-Fi details until we asked at reception, and even then it was some of the worst Wi-Fi I've used. The rooms weren't shown in the listing's thumbnail and looked more like school camp cabins. Inside, they weren't great: no sink except in the bathroom, and all the beds were together in one room with no privacy. There were holes in the walls and flickering lights, and no shops within walking distance. The site photos were very misleading.

The village itself is cute and could be great with some updates, but our room, number 9, had a two-centimetre gap under the outside door. No wonder there were so many bugs inside. The rooms look like they date from the 1970s, with no maintenance.

We had a great stay at the Best Western Colonial Village Motel. The kids loved the small playground, and the location was handy, just a short drive from Coles and the shopping complex. Our clean, updated family room had a queen bed, a single bed and a spa tub, nice for relaxing after a day out. Fresh linen and a Smart TV made it comfortable, and having a carport right outside was so convenient. A top choice for families or anyone visiting Warrnambool.
