Gosford Inn Motel

The restaurant was amazing, and the pool was good too. We had a lovely view even from the ground floor, and the multi-bed rooms work well for families. The room was cosy, clean and nice, with fresh sheets and a super comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom had dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body gel, hand soap and hand cream. We’ll definitely come back :)

The grounds looked neglected, with rubbish lying around in heaps and grass about a foot tall (300mm). There was even a used condom on the grass near the pool entrance. From what I saw and heard from other guests, it seems the owners aren’t maintaining the place. It looks like they bought it for a song and are running it into the ground to make lots of money 💰 💰 💰 when they sell. Inside, the bathroom was so small I had to go outside to change my mind. The fan sounded like a jet engine, and mould was growing in the shower and on the skirting boards, with the cornice starting to fall off. The bathroom floor was constantly wet. We put the external mat in the shower to avoid contracting TINEA, which is extremely contagious. The main floor stayed wet too, so we had to put towels down to walk around. The floor tiles were cracked and moved underfoot. I couldn’t get the kettle under the basin tap unless I forced the tap to one side, and the fridge door had rust at the bottom.

We arrived late after a long drive, and the helpful staff welcomed us. Even at that hour, we had a delicious Indian meal. It’s a lovely family-run motel, with a quiet, comfortable room and a view of forested hills.

My brother and I stayed one night. The room was clean and really well presented, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was the standout: amazing, very reasonably priced Indian food, by far the best we’ve ever had. It was so good that we thanked the staff and chef in person. Thanks, we’ll definitely be back.
