Hamilton Executive Apartments

The apartments were filthy, and they charged me 150 over a broken couch that couldn’t even be used. Parking costs extra, and so does the bond, even though the place didn’t seem nice enough to justify one. Staff also treated me badly and called me a lady because they couldn’t find me in the system. Yuck.

Avoid this place. The owner screamed at me and blamed me for things they couldn’t prove had happened. Being shouted at by a grown man was horrible.

The booking office communicated well, and the door codes sent by text seemed to work fine. Still, I worried about security because the push-button codes probably aren’t changed often, so previous visitors might know them. Parking off the street felt too risky, which meant another $25 for the garage, so factor that into the accommodation cost. The room itself had stained carpets, and I noticed what seemed like dust mites in the bed, bed cover and carpet. The spare pillowcases smelled as if they hadn’t been changed, and the ceiling fan above the bed was too noisy to use. There was also a knocking sound near the door every 40 minutes all night, no idea what caused it. For the money, this place wasn’t worth it.

We booked a lovely two-bedroom apartment with a private balcony, laundry, dryer with washing powder provided, and dishwasher. It was handy not to worry about a key since entry is by code. They also left little biscuits, which were yum, and small bottles of shampoo and other toiletries that smelled really nice. The location was great, though the $20 nightly parking fee wasn’t mentioned until the day we booked. It might suit a group, but it’s quite expensive. The cleaning could have been better, though it was clean enough.
