Prickly Pear Stays in Mayfield

The unit wasn’t cleaned when I arrived: the bed was unmade, the floors were dirty and towels were left on the floor. The website photos don’t show its actual condition. Staff were helpful on the phone, but it took over an hour to get confirmation, and I was told the room was ready only 20 minutes before check-in. Very disappointing.

The layout made the unit feel spacious, and everything was in excellent condition. We especially liked the bedroom, with its large, incredibly comfortable bed, and the inviting living area was a lovely place to unwind. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, dishes and cutlery, plus a coffee machine, stove, microwave and large fridge, so preparing meals was easy. We had a great stay in Mayfield, NSW. The property was clean, quiet and well maintained. A peaceful, convenient place to stay.

The bed was clean and super comfortable, and the kitchen and lounge setup worked well for us. The appliances were new and very good. Prickly Pear was perfectly located for our visit, with family nearby. It seems the site has recently changed hands and some work has already been done, though there is more to do. The courtyard furniture really needs replacing, and the bathroom was adequate, but some older doors could use replacement too. Staff were very responsive when we had an issue with the air conditioner, which was our issue, not the property’s. I’d recommend Prickly Pear and expect it to improve as the new owners keep developing the site.

The hosts were attentive and made sure things went smoothly. The location was really convenient, with everything within easy reach. I stayed here recently and it suited my needs perfectly. Clean, tidy and practical. A great stay.
