Reign Inn Newcastle

The kitchenette was a nice area, and you can ask reception for crockery if you want to have a picnic in your room. We found the bed really comfortable, and the room felt good, smelled good, and was spotless. We stayed in the newer part of the Reign Inn motel behind reception. We found it on Booking.com for a stopover in Newcastle on our way down the coast, and it was worth every penny. Check-in was super friendly and hassle free. I'd recommend it and would return.

We drove for eight hours and expected at least enough quiet to rest, but noise kept us awake throughout the night. We could hear loud voices, yelling and other activity right outside our room, as well as ongoing noise from other guests. The walls barely block sound, so even ordinary activity carries through and louder behaviour is unbearable. It was especially frustrating that pet owners had rules strictly enforced, while there seemed to be no effort to manage noise from other guests. With sound insulation this poor, management needs to address disruptive behaviour. The lack of soundproofing and noise control really affected our stay. We wouldn't return or recommend it to anyone needing rest on a long trip.

My little dog and I stayed in the pet friendly section, and it was the best motel experience I've ever had. The rooms were clean and welcoming, and housekeeping kept up with the daily service perfectly. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, nothing was ever a problem. It's a well managed motel, and I'd definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

The room had everything we needed, including a fridge, kettle and microwave. The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean and very good value for what we paid.
