Seaside Retreat

The room had cockroach droppings everywhere, along with two obviously used drug baggies on the table. My smoke alarm didn't work and was sitting in a drawer. Everything was disgustingly dirty. I've never stayed anywhere worse, even in developing or third-world countries. If you're reading the bad reviews and thinking it can't be as bad as they say, believe me, it's worse.

The owners were outright rude and aggressive, and this place should be closed to the public. It's filthy, disgusting, and unhealthy. The bedding was like something from a boarding house, with stains and marks all over the sheets, and the blanket looked like it came from a jail. I didn't see a smoke alarm in my room either, so I wonder if it's council compliant. This is a rundown motel, apparently used for Department of housing home 2 link service, and it's not fit for purpose. If you need somewhere to stay, avoid it at all costs. The street is cleaner. I'm baffled anyone would buy this rundown business and dwelling. It needs to be bulldozed.

I booked a room for myself and my 19-month-old daughter, but only booked for one person because I thought my daughter wouldn't be an issue and would stay free. The owner kicked us out, and we had to sleep in the car. The owner was very rude. Absolutely disgusting, and I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

When we arrived, there were cockroaches everywhere, and they stayed around through the weekend. The tea and coffee basket was full of them too. The bathroom was old and unkept, there was no toilet paper, and the shower floor was falling apart. The fridge had no shelves and smelled gross. The blankets and pillows were stained and smelled, apparently with stains from 10 years ago, and there were no pillowcases or bed covers. Our family room had just one plate, one glass, and one fork. The air con smelled old and musty. The place is falling apart, yet they charge through the roof for filthy living areas. It wasn't fit for my kids, so we slept on towels I had to buy from Big W. The photos they advertise with are years old, so don't be fooled. This was our February 2023 stay. Please spend your money somewhere else.
