We ordered lunch and drinks outside, then a three-man band started playing. They were good, especially the lead guitarist and singer, who nailed it. I like cover bands that keep close to the original songs, and this one didn’t disappoint. The drummer was very good, my favourite instrument, and the bassist brought it all together. I could hardly eat while singing along, and my feet were drumming under the table. We got there close to 2pm on Sunday while passing through. I’ll be working nearby toward the end of the year, and even if there’s no band midweek, I’d happily come back for the food and the atmosphere.

I’ve been on holiday with family for the last 2 weeks and stopped in three times. The food was exceptional, and it was the best steak I’ve had in a while. A staff member went above and beyond: so bubbly and happy to be there, and you could tell she wanted customers to leave smiling. When I asked her name, she said Jess N. She deserves praise for how well she looks after people. I hope this reaches her and the chefs.

Took 12 family members for lunch today, and everyone was happy with their meal. The service was amazing too. It was fantastic, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The kids have play equipment to enjoy, and dinner was delicious with decent-sized portions. Great pub, highly recommend it. We’re locals, so we didn’t stay there.

Good food at a great little pub. Our party of six ordered together, but the first two meals arrived and were finished before the rest came out. That was the only downside.
