Tea and coffee were available whenever you wanted, either on the verandah or in the guest lounge. I also enjoyed a complimentary glass of Shiraz, and there was always a biscuit and chocolate on offer. The older home has a nice style, and the comprehensive continental breakfast was included.

Cindy and her girls were such a delight and wonderful hosts. We stayed in room 6 and, since it was raining when we arrived, the covered off-street parking was very convenient. There’s filtered water and free biscuits, coffee and tea in the guest lounge, and every convenience seems to have been thought of. We were super impressed with our experience, and everything is within walking distance. Loved the full bath, and I highly recommend the breakfast. What a pleasant surprise this gem of a hotel was. We’ll only stay here on future visits.

Breakfast was super yummy, and having it on the verandah was a perfect way to start the day. Cindy welcomed us when we arrived, and she was fabulous, very friendly and welcoming. We ended up chatting for a while. We were the only guests staying on Sunday night, so we got an unexpected upgrade to a bigger room and free run of the whole building for the night. They refused our offer to pay the difference. The room was spacious, clean and comfy, with a super comfy bed and a massive bathroom, a huge deep bath and double shower heads. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the kitchen, plus chocolates and wine in the sitting room. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the Hunter. Thanks, Cindy!

Cindy, the manager, was fantastic and made us feel welcome. The heritage home is beautiful, and our room was spotless and very comfortable. The rooms don’t have their own bar fridges or tea and coffee, but the shared large room has everything you need. Great location too, with lovely local shops and both pubs an easy walk away. There’s safe, undercover parking. Highly recommend.
