The apartment already had things needing attention, including a broken patio umbrella that staff knew about but hadn’t replaced. The tennis court was worn and the guest rackets were damaged. Kayaks were advertised, but only one was available for guests. The pool area, at least, was nice to spend time in. Our biggest problem was the $500 security deposit. Two weeks after checkout, Skippers Cove was still holding it, and when I called, staff couldn’t give a clear timeline or useful information. They only said we had to wait for a damages bill. A week after checkout, an email arrived claiming we’d damaged a curtain. We hadn’t seen any damage during the stay and strongly disputed it, but management wouldn’t reconsider. They’re keeping the deposit while they get a contractor’s replacement quote. We thought the place was good value at first, but this experience after our stay changed that impression a lot. I’d recommend taking thorough photos of the apartment at checkout to avoid potential disputes over damage claims.

We spent two nights here and it was brilliant for the kids. The place was quiet and family friendly, with the sand and river just a walk down from the house. It was clean, close to everything and had all the facilities we needed. We’ve stayed in Noosa several times, and this is one of the best value places we’ve found. We’ll be back next time. Highly recommend it.

The staff took such good care of us and went above and beyond. The apartments have everything you need, and you’re right on the water with access to the hotel kayaks. There’s a great pool and a hot spa too. It’s about a 30 minute walk to Hastings street, or regular buses can get you around. Absolutely superb, couldn’t recommend it more.

The managers were so kind and helpful when I got myself into a mess, and I want to thank them. During our four to five day stay on an international trip to Brisbane with our five-year-old daughter and eight-month-old son, Cyclone Alfred hit the city. I accidentally locked our rental car key in the trunk. We were shocked, especially me, because we couldn’t go see the friends we’d planned to meet. The managers gave us practical advice and generous support. We eventually got the key out and were able to meet our friends around Brisbane almost as planned.

We were looking forward to three nights over Easter 2025 in a lovely apartment with water views. We booked Skippers Cove back in November 2024 to be near friends and family who were staying nearby, and were gutted when the property cancelled our booking in March 2025, less than six weeks before the holiday. Finding similar accommodation for that period was more expensive and difficult. We were shocked that an existing booking could be cancelled at such short notice, with little apology.
