Haven Waters Motel & Apartments

The owners were lovely and gave us useful suggestions for places to eat. Beach Break Cafe nearby is worth a look for its gorgeous views. From the road, the motel looks like a typical place in a small country town, but inside everything is immaculate. The beds are comfortable, the towels are fluffy, and there's even a separate face towel for removing makeup. The kitchenette has a handy sink, and the bathroom is fully updated. The neat garden, with its little potted plants and immaculate lawn, made a good first impression. We'd stay again if we come back to North Haven.

I found my room spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. It's a beautiful, quiet location. There's a cafe up the street with great coffee, and the bowling club is just around the corner. A 15-20 minute walk along the canal opposite the motel takes you to the ocean. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

The quiet was a real relief. It was blissfully silent for most of the night, except for waterbirds on the river in the early morning. The rooms were incredibly clean and well maintained. I thought the beds were okay, but my partner had trouble sleeping comfortably because he prefers a firmer mattress. We were two adults and a child, stopping overnight on our way down the coast. We booked about an hour and a half before arriving. The motel is across the road from the river, and the prices are really good. There’s a nice playground a few minutes down the road, and the beach is a short drive or a moderate walk away. The pool wasn’t full when we visited in spring, so I’d call ahead if that matters to you. The rooms are small but beautifully done, with decent amenities and plenty of outlets for charging appliances. They looked just like the online pictures. The bathroom was tiny but seemed newly refurbished and was absolutely immaculate. I especially appreciated the dedicated grey makeup face washer, so I could remove my makeup without worrying about staining the white washcloths. The staff were very friendly, and there are some nice places to eat within a few minutes’ walk or a very short drive. It was a great place to spend the night.

Sandy made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived, and check-in was an absolute breeze. I stayed in Room 11. The bed was very comfortable, the WiFi was easy to use, and the air conditioning worked. There was a lounge and a nice little kitchenette with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and biscuits. The bathroom had been upgraded, and the shower was good. There’s a laundry you can use for a small fee, as well as a pool and BBQ. The place is across from the river, with easy walking access to a club and coffee shop. I recommend it, well worth the stay.
