There was plenty to do around Oatlands, with the IGA, distillery, history room, cafes, playgrounds and public library all nearby. The place itself felt like a home away from home: comfy beds, good internet, Netflix and an Xbox for games. The kitchen was fully equipped, even with an air fryer. We really enjoyed our stay.

We’re glad we stopped in Oatlands. The cottage was a lovely surprise, clean, tidy and well equipped, with comfortable beds and warm showers for all four of us. And the little cafe next door does the absolute best burgers and chips!

The beds were comfortable, but the kitchen, oven, cutlery and crockery needed a proper clean, and the floors needed mopping. We were there for four nights and half a toilet roll wasn’t enough.

Everything was nice and clean, and there was some entertainment for when you had time to spare. It’s a quiet place in a quiet town, with very generous breakfast supplies.
