Chiltern Lodge

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and Old Bar beach is just down the road. We stayed in January 2024 and came away feeling as if we'd had a week's holiday in one weekend. The cabins sit among quiet bushland, with eucalypts and sky to look up at. Limited phone reception helped me switch off, and the kids loved it. The recreation room has a pool table, table tennis and a movie room, plus there's a beautiful pool in the bush. The recently renovated BBQ area is excellent, with a full-sized BBQ, pizza oven, bench seating and all the utensils needed to make a meal. Such a peaceful break. We'll definitely return.

Very clean, and there's even a washing machine in the cabin that guests can use for free. Only four cabins, with renovations underway, and they already have new equipment and floors. The owners have clearly thought things through: the BBQ area was completely redone after they took over from the previous owners about a year ago, and now includes a pizza oven. There's also a large recreation room with a cinema. It's a lovely, quiet bush setting, with birds the main sound, and the facilities are amazing. I'd highly recommend it and would visit again.

We've come here with a big family group for years, and the new owners are every bit as wonderful as the previous ones. It's great for young kids, with a cubby house, animals and a fire engine. The pool, pool table and ping pong kept everyone else happy. The setting is tranquil, the facilities are great, and the hosts are thoughtful. Thank you :)

The cabin works well for families, with two bedrooms and space for up to six. It has a kitchen, dining and lounge area, plus a washing machine and a fireplace that heats really well. There are walking and bicycle trails, a play area for children, and games and movie rooms, along with a pool and spa area. A peaceful place to stay, and the lady we met was lovely and friendly.
