My partner is an Aboriginal man staying at this site for work. After dinner, he asked the chef on duty if he could have some complimentary Easter eggs. Every other table had some, but his didn't, and the chef was fine with him taking a few. As he reached for them, a man believed to be the Discovery Park manager told him, “They're not for you.” My partner had paid to stay there for two weeks and replied, “I pay my way here.” The manager then told another male worker at the same table, “I'm working tomorrow and yous will be hearing from me.” As his partner, I didn't like the way he and the other workers at that table were spoken to and singled out among the 40-50 people dining. It seems like discrimination and racism to me. The rooms are a disgrace, and workers are given only one towel for two weeks, as shown in the photos. Better treatment and hygiene for customers staying at this Discovery Park would be appreciated.

The bar and food were amazing, and the bathrooms were okay. But the water smelled bad and the showers never got hot. The laundry was unusable because mine workers use it and it was completely dirty. This place is really a mining camp, full of workers, and the tent pitches are hard gravel that you can't get pegs into. It's okay for a one-night stop.

We had such a good time here. The facilities are great, the staff lovely and friendly, and the restaurant food was amazing. Jody & Matt are great people, Steve the manager was welcoming and friendly, and we loved Mirriam. The rec room is great too, with happy hour. Only downside was the unfriendly midgies around the caravan spots in the sand and gravel. Thank you, Jules, Jim & Anela.

The hosts, Matt & wife, Frankie & Jill, were so welcoming and helpful. The amenities were clean and well kept, and our caravan site was flat, shady, and a great size. The common room and bar are awesome, with a huge TV for footy, billiards, and an outdoor deck. They have a buffet dinner, though we ate out. It’s a bit out of town, but there’s plenty of entertainment and fun here. We had a great stay, thank you.

We got the last site on our way home to Port Hedland, and even with our rooftop tent they gave us a caravan site, so there was heaps of room. The grounds were tidy and well maintained, and the facilities were great. Check-in staff and the bar lady were both really helpful and friendly. It’s close enough to town. We stayed one night, Thursday 3/7/2025. We didn’t eat there, but the meal options looked good and were only $35.
