We had a great experience holding our engagement party in Bushmans’ function room. The food was great, and staff kindly packed up the leftovers for us to collect the next day. They were professional, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Maeve was especially wonderful to deal with.

There’s lots of grassy space for pets, and the shower is so, so good. Bushmans is clean and affordable for staying with pets. Dubbo has nowhere clean to stay with pets, so Parkes is the place to stop, and Bushmans is where to stay. The rooms have no carpet, and the king room’s fridge is bigger than a bar fridge, handy if you’re travelling with food. Parking fits a long-wheelbase Land Cruiser and is out of sight of the road when you’re carrying lots of gear. I’ve never had anything stolen off my ute there.

We came through around New Year, with our son booking the room while we were travelling. He told them the air conditioning in our vehicle had broken and that I really needed a cool place to stay on the way home to SA. We arrived after hours, and the room was already being cooled by the air conditioning, which was a delight. It was clean and quiet, but most of all, cool. I’d recommend staying here.

Our two dogs settled right in, so we could actually relax. They’re openly dog friendly, and the room was clean with a comfy bed. Great value, and the best shower I’ve had in ages. Thanks for having us, highly recommend.

This was my second stay, and I’ll come back when I’m passing through on a long haul. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a big TV. The air conditioning worked well even in the 40+ heat wave.
