Station Motel Parkes

Everything else was lovely, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The downside for me was the lack of meals on weekends: there’s no dinner Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I was there for a work trip and left Monday morning, but there weren’t breakfast options that morning either.

The reception lady was bloody lovely and sorted a room for me and my two small children at the last minute while I was coming from Melbourne. We arrived late that night and the room was super, super clean. The shower was amazing, the bed really comfortable, and the complimentary water bottles were a great bonus. Two fantastic staff members greeted us at checkout. We’ll be back in a few months, and next time we’ll arrive in time for dinner. Thanks so much.

Breakfast came out quickly and tasted good. The service was excellent, and the clean rooms were quiet and already a nice cool temperature in the heat.

We had dinner at the restaurant and breakfast the next morning, and couldn’t fault anything. The food was delicious and came quickly. Staff kept an eye on our table and were quick to help when our glasses were low, which you don’t see often anymore. It was so nice to eat without a bar crowd or poker machine and music noise. The motel itself was great too: a really clean, quiet, spacious room, an amazing bed, and a table area where I could set up my laptop. The managers were super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay again!
