Hamish was friendly and accommodating. The BBQ had no gas on our first night, which was frustrating, but it was sorted the next day. The apartment wasn’t very modern, the lighting was poor and some kitchen gear, like the cafetière, was a bit rickety. Still, everything worked, and it was comfortable and spotless. The gardens are mature and beautifully maintained. From the front of the property, it’s a three-minute barefoot walk over lush grass to stunning Perugien beach. In summer, there’s an extra Lifesaver station three minutes away at Beach Exit 50, which is great, and the sea has a tow that’s fun. The lovely restaurants by the road are about a 20-minute walk away, so bring a torch for the way back. I can’t recommend the location enough. It’s an amazing, laid-back escape from the Noosa crowds.

Our two-storey unit backed onto gardens, which made for a relaxing family getaway. It was clean, a good size and laid out well. You’ll need a car, since not much is within easy walking distance.

We enjoyed being able to get straight into the swimming pool from our townhouse. But the two-bedroom place had no ensuite, despite Glen Eden’s website saying it did. That was the main reason I booked. When I raised it with staff, they blamed the web designer, and no one apologised.

Hamish and his staff deserve a special mention. The apartment was exceptionally clean, fully equipped for every need and had comfortable beds. Just one small thing, getting to the beach could be challenging for guests with mobility concerns.

We’ve been to Glen Eden Resort three times and plan to return. The units are simple but comfortable and well equipped, the pool area is pleasant, and the beach access is great. On our latest holiday we stayed in Unit 38, with its lush grassy area edged by lovely native plants. The units feel private while still making it easy to chat with other guests, which I enjoy. We love Glen Eden Beach Resort, thank you!
