We had a ground-floor garden room that was immaculate, renovated and well equipped. The location was great for restaurants and coffee shops, and we enjoyed the lovely sunrises and sunsets. The ferry terminal was just a 15-minute walk away. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and reception was open 24 hours with drinks and snacks available. Parking was free nearby, or you could book guaranteed secure parking for $15 a day. Great value, and we’d absolutely stay again.

The location was excellent, and the living area was nice. Parking was the biggest issue. We booked two units for six people each, but each unit only included one car space at $15 a day. Other guests with cars had to pay $36.80 a day from 8am to midnight, which was ridiculous. Bathroom 2 needs updating. It’s small, and the shower curtain didn’t stop water getting all over the floor when four adults shared it. The kitchen was well equipped, but with just one tea towel and no oven gloves I burnt my hand using the oven on the first night. More tea towels, a towel, bathmats and dishwasher tablets were supplied the next morning when we asked. The sundeck could use more shade in hot weather, and with no door on the loft room, noise from the rest of the unit carried upstairs. There were only four dining chairs despite our booking being for six people.

The location on the water in Freo was beautiful, and the accommodation was exceptionally clean. Our quiet two-storey ensuite apartment had everything we could need. The man who checked our family in was lovely, helpful and friendly, and gave me a map marked with a few points of interest. Housekeeping staff were happy and friendly too. Checkout was simple.

We booked the Family 3 Bedrooms unit, the one that doesn’t face the street. Although it feels secluded, it’s a five-minute walk to the beach and 12 minutes to the high street, with fantastic resto nearby. The property has a stunning view and a great patio with an outdoor dining table. There was a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, full cutlery, plates, glasses and a coffee machine. The towels and beds were very clean. Our only complaint was that the bed on the third floor wiggled, but Housekeeping came and replaced it straight away, even though carrying it up there was heavy work. Maria at reception was very friendly and gave us advice on things to do.
