Staff were warm and welcoming from the start, and Kat was especially lovely. After my 16.5 hour flight from Paris, they let me check in early. There was a nice wine and cheese hour too. I was only there for one night before heading to Rottnest Island, but they kept my bags and even let me shower before my flight back to Melbourne. Thanks for the hospitality, I'd happily stay again.

Loved the nautical idea behind The Hougoumont, with the room set up to feel like a ship's cabin. I later learned the hotel is named for the last convict ship to dock in Freo. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is hard to beat, right in the heart of 'FREEO-A-GO-GO', off Market St and close to Fremantle Markets and the lively cafe strip. A fabulous place, I'd stay again.

The area just off Market St has plenty of bars and restaurants, and we had a lovely time in Fremantle. The boutique hotel was very clean, with friendly staff. Marco, the manager, was particularly attentive and welcoming to guests. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with yoghurt, berries, homemade muesli, and a selection of bread and jams. We loved our stay and will be back.

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend here. The staff, including the receptionist and hotel manager, were welcoming and accommodating, and went out of their way to help. The modern facilities and decor felt practically brand new, and getting to the heart of Freo from this location is easy. A fantastic experience from beginning to end, and I'd recommend Hougoumont Hotel without hesitation.

The bathrooms are on the small side, though it wasn't really a problem for us. The rooms themselves were great, quiet, neat and tidy. The staff were first class, friendly, and accommodating. The Hougoumont Hotel is awesome, and I'll stay here again on my next visit.
