My husband and I had a lovely stay at Malibu Apartments, and we've just landed back home. Thanks to Adam for answering my call after hours when I couldn't find the keys after arriving in the dark. Sorry for disturbing your evening. The neighbourhood was peaceful, but a short drive got us to amenities and some nice parks. We liked the comfortable bed, full kitchen and our own washing machine. The heating was welcome on chilly evenings, and from the balcony we spotted birds such as Magpie Larks and Lorikeets. Free parking was available too. The only thing I'd quibble about was the old-fashioned shower. Its two handles reminded me of Victorian taps I'd used in England, so getting the temperature right took effort. Even with strong water pressure, we had to keep it moderate or the cubicle flooded because the old drain couldn't clear the water quickly enough. The fixed showerhead also made washing properly a bit tricky for ladies. It took us a couple of days to get used to it, but it wasn't much of a problem after that. We enjoyed staying at Malibu and would love to come back.

It's a no-frills place with reasonably priced rooms and plenty of amenities for a temporary stay. The location is handy for the city and both freeway entrances, and there's great coffee up the street. It felt fairly safe and secure, with a decent amount of street parking. I'd book again for a quick trip or if I needed somewhere in a pinch.

I stayed for a week and had a good experience overall. The bed was comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and from unit 14 I had a good view. The kitchen was a decent size and had the usual supplies, and the AC and TV were nice extras. A few things could be better: the bathroom and kitchen got hot and stuffy quickly, the showerhead couldn't be moved, and the cold water was lukewarm at best. I also couldn't get the gas oven working despite following the instructions. It's a fairly average, straightforward place, neither flashy nor low grade, and I'd recommend it for that kind of stay.

We were there for just three days, and the clean, nice-smelling studio had everything we needed and a bit more. The bed and bathroom were fresh, and the tidy washing machine and little kitchen area were handy. We didn't mind having no room service since we prefer looking after ourselves. It's affordable and well located, and I'd recommend it for solo travellers, couples or small families.

The rooms have been renovated, it's close to the city, and the price is great value. We had no complaints and really enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Malibu Apartments. We'll come back!
