The other backpackers were great, but the smell hit me as soon as I walked into the building and nearly knocked me over. The place was horrendous. There was dirty bedding, and even the front door had no lock. A burglary happened during my 3-night stay, so the entrance seemed like an open invitation to thieves. Be careful if you decide to stay.

Be careful. I stayed here for 7 months and had a great time. The atmosphere was good, although hygiene wasn't always there. But there's a manager named Darren who's dangerous, especially with girls. For example, he makes sure only girls are recruited to the staff so they can be in the same room as him. He touched a friend's buttocks several times and tried to force her to sleep with someone else. When he drinks, he gets violating, and he drinks often, unfortunately not only alcohol. I won't leave it at this comment. This person is really unhealthy and must leave!

On my final night, after I'd slept in the same bed for the previous 5 nights and left all my belongings in that room, I came back to find they'd given the bed away and said the room wasn't mine anymore. At midnight they moved me to another room. The rude girl didn't even apologise for giving away my bed. She turned on the light and woke everyone to show me a bed with no sheets, handed me sheets and left me to make the bed in the dark. This hostel is garbage all around. I've travelled across Australia and stayed in numerous hostels, and this was the worst one. I would never recommend it to anyone. Stay away. No normal person should have to go through this hole.

After six months of travelling around Asia, this was one of the worst hostels I stayed in. The place was really dirty, the beds were uncomfortable enough that I could feel the springs, and the sheets were old. Guests left dishes unwashed, the bathroom was dirty, and the staff seemed stone-faced all day. The one real plus is getting into Perth city centre: there’s a bus stop right outside, with plenty of buses.
