The beds were great, the pool was nice, and the staff were friendly enough. The beach is right across the road, and the location is pretty decent. But the rooms felt very dated. We had two dodgy shower heads, a window that let a cold draft into the living area, and couches that were probably the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever sat on. At that price, I feel I could have found somewhere much better. Check-in was odd. We arrived an hour after the check-in time, then were told they needed to make sure our room was ready because it apparently wasn’t supposed to be used due to maintenance issues and work was still being done. Thankfully, we did get in.

We had a spacious room with an ocean view and a veranda with a table and chairs. It was easy to get to the beach across the road, and the place was nice and quiet. There was plenty of parking too. The staff were friendly when I booked by phone, at check-in, and at breakfast. Great coffee as well. It’s close to Hillary’s Boat Harbour, and we’ll stay again.

My plans changed because of a truck breakdown that was completely out of my control, but they still refused to refund more than $300. I found the lack of flexibility and compassion really disappointing. I only wanted what seemed fair, and it felt like the business cared more about keeping my hard-earned money than understanding the situation. I’ll take this review down if they decide to do the right thing and return the money they’ve stolen from me.

The apartment worked really well for us, especially with a crawling baby and a toddler. It had two bedrooms, good air-conditioning and ceiling fans in both rooms, and the space was very comfortable. The pool was a little small, but we managed. The beach is right opposite, and it’s about a 10 minute stroll to Hilaries for food or something to do. I’d definitely stay again.

A handy base in the north west of Perth, not far from Jundaloop. There are a few nearby attractions, including Hillary Boats Quay and Sorrento Beach Promenade, as well as Sacred Hearts College. The family space was good too, with a roomy living area, dining area, small kitchenette, and laundry area.
